We are the Muscle Biofabrication team of the Regenerative Medicine Technologies Lab at Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale in Bellinzona.

Since 2020 we have been working on novel technologies called organ-on-a-chip to “biofabricate” functional human muscle tissues in the laboratory.

Through the support of the “Fondation Suisse de Recherche sur les Maladies Musculaires” we have been using these systems to study neuro-muscular diseases with the hope to find novel treatments that could one day improve the quality of life of patients.
